A 1786 jenever distillery tasting house turned brown café whose canal-side jetty terrace is the Jordaan's most coveted summer real estate. Inside it is all stained glass, brass and candlelight.

Oost (Funenkade) · $
Amsterdam's original craft brewery pours its organic Zatte tripel and IJwit wheat beer in the shadow of the 18th-century De Gooyer windmill. The tiled tasting room was once a municipal bathhouse.
Insider tip: It closes early evening — come mid-afternoon for a terrace table under the windmill.
