Staré Město–Malá Strana · $
Charles IV laid the first stone in 1357, and Peter Parler's Gothic span now carries thirty baroque statues between the Old Town and Malá Strana. At dawn you share it only with photographers and swans.

Hradčany · $
One of the largest castle complexes on earth: palaces, courtyards, Golden Lane and St. Vitus Cathedral with its Mucha stained-glass window. Czech heads of state have governed from this hill for a millennium.
Insider tip: Buy the circuit ticket online, enter early via the northern gate, and stay for the noon changing of the guard.
Staré Město · $
The 1410 Orloj is the world's oldest astronomical clock still operating, performing its hourly apostle parade beneath Týn Church's twin Gothic spires. The square around it is Prague's living room.
Insider tip: Watch the apostles once, then climb the Old Town Hall tower — the aerial view is the better show.
Josefov · $
Six synagogues, the 1270 Old-New Synagogue — Europe's oldest still in use — and a cemetery where 12,000 tombstones tilt in layers up to twelve deep. The Jewish Museum circuit is one of the world's most affecting.
Insider tip: Buy the combined Jewish Town ticket and start at the Pinkas Synagogue's hand-inscribed wall of names; closed Saturdays.
Malá Strana (Petřín) · $
A funicular climbs through orchards to this 1891 'little Eiffel', whose 299 steps buy a view stretching from the castle to the TV tower. Rose gardens and a mirror maze sprawl around its base.
Insider tip: The funicular is covered by a standard transit ticket; walk back down through the orchards in blossom season.
Vyšehrad (Prague 2) · $
A 10th-century fortress upstream of the centre holding the Slavín cemetery, where Dvořák, Smetana and Mucha rest, plus rampart views over the Vltava. Locals picnic here while tourists pack the castle.
Insider tip: Walk the full rampart loop, then have a beer in the garden pub by the basilica at sunset.
